How it works

The selected common name performs a fixed dimensional lookup: 25 × 15 × 0.76 mm, 15 × 12 × 0.76 mm, or 12.3 × 8.8 × 0.67 mm. These measurements describe removable card size and do not establish device, carrier, or network compatibility.

  • No size is selected automatically because an incorrect physical format may not fit a tray.
  • Retail names are mapped to dimensional form factors rather than electrical subscription types.

When to use this

Phone specifications identify nano-SIM slots, replacement trays are checked against card dimensions, and adapters bridge a smaller card to a larger slot.

Edge cases

  • An eSIM has no removable-card dimensions and is outside this comparison.
  • Nano-SIM is thinner as well as shorter and narrower than the two larger formats.
  • A dimensional match is not advice to cut a card because contact position, tolerances, and tray damage are untested.
